I agree with Markk655 here:) Just for the record, did you change the name of the codec or the codec itself or maybe the file extension?

I changed the name, adding an extra letter or something like that. Several people said it was a solution for playing mp4 files.

WELP, mp4s aren't working again. They just display green.

That appears to be something with the guy's software. The mp4 files I'm using seem to be fine otherwise.
