Greetings,
I had one of the 3 capstans that holds the carousel in place pop it's c-clip, and come off... I replaced the capstan, and the clip, and the VGP-Xl1B appeared to be fully functional.
However, while doing a mass load operation, the unit seemed to become confused about which slots were empty, and, although I got 70-80 discs loaded, it began trying to put new ones in occupied slots.
This does not appear to be a misalignment problem, as the discs load just fine (when the slot is unoccupied), and the discs load to the CDROM correctly.
When I put things back together, I simply placed the carousel belt over its drive capstan, without regard for any particular location of the carousel. Should the unit figure out where its carousel is? Was there a particular 'rest' location for the carousel following belt replacement?
Thanks.

I suppose an additional question I should have asked would be: Is there a maintenance manual that is available for that box?
Thanks, again.
